At Sarah Foy Couture, creating your wedding dress is a deeply personal and collaborative journey. Every piece is designed with intention, to reflect your individuality, your story, and how you want to feel on your wedding day. We are an award winning bridal wear studio where your dream wedding dress isn’t chosen its created.

This is not just about a dress. It’s about creating something meaningful, timeless, and entirely yours.

Design & Creation

Following your consultation, we develop your bespoke design. I take all your inspiration, all your style, personality and create 3/4 sketches that will tick all your boxes. They will have silhouettes that feel good for you and a little Sarah Foy design magic.

I will send these special designs in a package just for you to treasure. The idea is that you can spend time looking over these sketches picking elements from each design that feels right to you .

How does it work?

Your journey begins with an enquiry through our website. From there, Sarah will personally follow up to learn more about your wedding, your style, and what you're dreaming of. We’ll then arrange your initial consultation at the studio.

This is a relaxed, one-to-one design appointment where everything begins. We’ll explore:

• Your ideas, inspirations, and vision

• Shapes and silhouettes that feel good for your body and style

• Fabrics, textures, and details

• and most importantly how you want to feel on your wedding day

You don’t need to have a clear idea, many brides don’t. This is a creative, guided process where your dress begins to take shape.

We will discuss budget and costs. All our pieces are individual priced you can check out the details of our pricing here

Fittings

When you feel ready we will invited you back to the studio, to talk through your options , measure you for your bespoke pattern and start looking at the right fabrics for your bespoke piece.

Over the coming months you will visit the studio for a series of fittings, including a cotton mock up of your dress to start. This will help you visualise your design and help me to perfect your fit. It will also allow us to make changes and really make your dress shine.

This stage is where the magic really happens, where your dress evolves and is refine.

Typically, you can expect:

• Multiple fittings over several months

• Adjustments and refinements to ensure the perfect fit

• A collaborative and supportive experience throughout

The Final Dress

Your finished piece will be ready in the lead-up to your wedding, allowing time for final adjustments and peace of mind. On average our brides pick up two weeks before their wedding with a final fitting to check everything is perfect 2 weeks before this. We custom our timeline for all our brides, you just let us know when you plan to pick up and we map out your fitting accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the process take?

We recommend beginning your journey 8–12 months before your wedding. This allows time for design, creation, and fittings. If your timeline is shorter, get in touch and we can see if we can accommodate you in our schedule. If you have more questions on any of the process email me here

Do I need to know what I want before I come?

Not at all. Many brides arrive with ideas but no clear vision. Sarah will guide you through the process, helping you discover what works best for you. We have a special email just for new brides that are starting their wedding dress hunt if you need more guidance.

How many fittings will I have?

We don’t limit your fittings or add on costs to fittings. We don’t charge for consultations or alterations. Ideally we like to have 5/8 fittings depending on the design and timeline. Having the perfect fit is more important to us

How much does a bespoke dress cost?

Each piece is unique, so pricing varies depending on design , fabric selection, level of detail and craftsmanship.

What should I bring to my consultation?

For your first consultation, we just need you and your ideas . So any images you have to help us to get a feel for what you have I mind

As we continue into fitting your dress we will need to bring along your shoes and underwear but we will let you know as we go along when you need them .

Can you create something non-traditional or for a second look?

Yes! Absolutely we love creating unique pieces . So if you want colour, sequins or any non tradition design we are up for that. We just love creating and collaborating with our brides.

Dream big and we will make it come through.

Second dresses or civil dresses are also available for us to create . Like your main piece we sit down and talk through your ideas. Then collaborate with you to bring it to life
